The court case pitting the Ayah Foundation against former Vision 4 TV, Journalist, Ernest Obama and the CEO of the Groupe Anecdote, Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga has been adjourned to the 14th of September 2021.
To the head of the Ayah Foundation, Ayah Ayah Abine, Amougou Belinga’s lawyers have implored delay tactics by contesting the competence of the Court of First Instance to judge the case.
The appeal by the lawyers is the main reason for the court’s postponement of the case.
Ayah Ayah however noted he was still very optimistic the case will be heard despite the ‘dodgy strategies’ used by Belinga and Ernest Obama.
It should be noted that the case has been dragging on for over 1 when year now.
The Journalist and the Groupe Anecdote boss had been dragged to court by the Ayah Foundation after claims made the then Vision 4 TV Journalist, and the Anecdote Newspaper belonging to Belinga, that the Ayah Foundation trafficked arms in the Northwest and Southwest regions for the separatist fighters.
The Ayah Foundation strongly denied the claims, and sued the pair for defamation.
Ernest Obama had previously never shown up to court to present his case and evidences before the tribunal as he suggested live on Vision 4 TV.
Amougou Belinga, meanwhile, has often been represented by his lawyers at each summons.
