Two corpses believe to be those of two young men apprehended at Way-out Nkwen some days back by a crowd, have been seen dumped at Sabga , Babanki Tunguh in Tubah Subdivision of Mezam.

The two, who were motor bike riders, attempted to robe a shop at Way-out Nkwen, Bamenda III Subdivision, at about 7pm. Unfortunately for them, a crowd mobilized and caught them as they fired gunshots in the air to scare the crowd to no avail. The pistol the bandits had was seized by the crowd.

The bandits were almost administered mob justice by the crowd, but were stopped by the arrival of the security forces who took them away.

The next day, their corpses were discovered at Sabga after being shot and killed. The local population of the area believe that the execution must have been done my the military men who seized them that night from the crowd in Bamenda.

Talking to Mimi Mefo Info, a brother to one of the two bandits said he recognized one of them was his brother, but the corpse he said was abandoned to decompose because they are afraid to go take it for the military may come after them.

Worth nothing is the fact that Bamenda these days has been witnessing a series of harassments and attacks on business people and private homes by unknown armed individuals.
