Bamenda Bakery Owners On Strike Over Hike In Price Of Baking Flour

Some bakery owners in Bamenda, North West region are said to be on strike. They are said to be on an indefinite strike over the rise in the price of baking flour.


The strike action has left many in the city of Bamenda without bread and other eatables produced from flour. Most households in Bamenda went today without breakfast due to the nonavailability of bread.


Bread prices have gone up for weeks now nationwide, leaving the population of major towns and cities in distress. Many have linked the situation to the high cost of importing baking flour
