Bamenda: Old man shot death at Manda

An old man has reportedly been shot death in Manda, Nkwen, Bamenda of the restive North West Region.

The man popularly called Pa Shamag was gunned down at around 9:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Locals say the act was perpetrated by suspected armed separatists.

It is not known why he was killed.

But, killings have multiplied in Bamenda in recent days – with mostly civilians targeted and killed.

Saturday’s incident in Nkwen comes barely few hours after Canada announced that it was going to mediate the return to peace in Cameroon’s English-speaking Regions.
