Barry Robert Lowen appointment as new British High Commissioner to Cameroon

Mr Barry Robert Lowen has been appointed as the new British High Commissioner to the Republic of Cameroon.

Mr Barry Lowen will be taking over from Dr Christian Dennys-McClure. Mr Lowen will take up his appointment in the weeks ahead according to an announcement on the UK government website.

Mr Barry Lowen has held several diplomatic positions in Africa, the most recent of which is at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Africa Directorate.

He has also worked in Mali and Algeria as the UK Ambassador to both countries.

He is married to Karin Rhiannon Lowen and they have three children.
