Football: Njalla Quan Sports Academy announce suspension of activities

Renowned Cameroon Football Club, Njalla Quan Sports Academy has announced the suspension of its activities.

The Club belonging to the 4th Vice-president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) made the announcement via a press release signed on Monday 3, 2023.

The decision was taken following the suspension of the former 4th Vice President Njalla Quan Junior, who is also president of the training club last weekend, for criticizing the president of the football federation, Samuel Eto’o Fils.

“However, the events surrounding our South West Regional League semi-final match against Kumba City FC have shown that football results, unfortunately, depend on political- off-pitch issues,” the release signed by Njalla Quan Junior stated.

The Club announced that it will transfer its players to another academy of the same type. But also will sell its assets to another structure.

According to the release,”… it would be difficult for us to continue our activities under these conditions which currently surround football in the South West region and Cameroon.”

On the other hand, Njalla Quan Junior in the release did not rule out a resumption of activities, highlighting a possibility if the conditions for “healthy” football are met.
