Teachers of College Bilingue Teerenstra Bertoua in the East Region of Cameroon who have deliberately refused to take the coronavirus test will from Thursday 18th February 2021 be considered as having resigned from the school.
This is contained in a release signed Tuesday, 16th February by Reverend Sister Anne Janvier Zobo, principal of the school. She stresses that on the instruction of Archbishop Joseph Atanga of Bertoua, everyone that has not taken the COVID-19 test will from Thursday 18th be denied access to the school.
A source says some teachers and workers of the school have vehemently refused to take the COVID 19 test on grounds that the government is not transparent in the handling of the pandemic.
Cameroonians are questioning why people have been threatened dismissal from their job for opting not to take the COVID-19 test.
