The President of the Republic H.E Paul Biya in a bid to limit the spread of coronavirus in the school milieu as classes resume throughout the national territory, made a donation of 170,000 facemasks to be distributed to students who have returned to school to prepare for final year national exams at all levels.
This donation, generous as it was, sparked an unprecedented spree of praise singing on the President as has often been the case by the ministers of his cabinet.
The minister in charge with carrying out the distribution, Paul Atanga Nji, in his usual tone was full of praises for the ‘man of action.’
“President Paul Biya is a man of action, he always leads his people by example” the minister mentioned.
According to Minister Paul Atanga Nji, the President has often been the most reliable person there is to better take care of Cameroonians especially the youths as shown by his facemask donation to institutions of learning.
Jacques Fame Ndongo of the Ministry of Higher Education reaffirmed his support for the President of the Republic as he opines Biya has always had the interest of the Cameroonian students at heart.
“We thank the Head of State for always standing by the students and always having them closer to his heart” the Minister stated. He stressed that the gift of facemasks could not have come at any better time as a means of assistance to students because to him, it was the most vital necessity for the students.
Minister of Secondary Education, Dr. Nalova Lyonga says that Cameroonians are blessed to have President Paul Biya at the time of this pandemic, as she believes there is no better leader to guide Cameroonians through such torrid times than H.E Paul Biya.
“I’ve always said that there is good leadership when it comes to managing the president situation” she stated. To the students, she advised them to use the gift judiciously and expect more from their caring father. “Use your masks well” she said, “We’re sure that if it gets finished, we will call on the Head of States to provide more”.
Issa Tchirouma Bakary thinks that the President does not let anything get on his way when he has to act for the Cameroonian people’s safety. “The President of the Republic has left no stone unturned when it comes to protecting the lives of Cameroonians” claimed the Minister of Employment. “I will like to extend my gratitude to the President of the Republic for his thoughtfulness and care for the Cameroonian people”.
Secretary of State in the Ministry of Basic Education Mrs Asheri Killo, believes the head of state’s gift is a perfect square fit in a square hole. The gift according to her, has solved one of the major problems that the Ministry of Basic education has been trying to deal with. The problem of pupils wearing oversized masks was a major problem that has been minimised due to the president’s largess.
“Masks children wore were too big for them and we realise that the president’s masks have various sizes. This is indeed very thoughtful of the Head of States”.
