The remains of twenty year old Nkeng Diana have been deposited at the Kumba district hospital mortuary in Meme division South West region of Cameroon.

Nkeng Diana administrative authorities in Kumba claim, was buried alive Tuesday November 19 2019.

Perpetrators of the act local authorities told media men, are boys fighting for the restoration of Ambazonia statehood, but Mimi Mefo Info is yet to verify this claim.

To Kumba officials, “the victim was kidnapped and detained for some days in an abandoned building in Kosala quarter before finally buried alive”.

Forces of law and order exhumed the body

In the said building, the girl’s shoes, a knife and a torch have been found. Security forces are reported to have killed one of the suspected murderers, though his identity was not revealed.

At the moment, no reason has been advanced of what led to the burying of the girl in Kosala, a neighbourhood situated at Kumba 2 sub division.

On the site to exhume the body was the divisional officer of Kumba 2, the state counsel, medical practitioners and security forces.

Kosala quarter at Kumba 2 has been deserted and considered one of the strongholds of restoration fighters in Meme division.

A similar incident was reported in Momo, and Ambazonian fighters said it was staged by government to attract national and international sympathy.
