Residents of Bomaka, a locality in Buea in the South West region of Cameroon say they have had enough of illegal drug consumers.
In a protest staged recently, the residents took to the streets to decry the adverse effects the smoking of banned narcotics has been having on them.
They have urged Government to do more to stop the trafficking and consumption of the said substances including marijuana.
Shouting ‘No more terrre’ as they marched, the residents said those who consume the said substances cause a lot of havoc including theft and robbery attacks.
Bomaka it should be recalled, has witnessed multiple atrocities and acts of violence over the past years.
Most of them have been linked to the protracted armed conflict in the region, but residents say the proliferation of illegal drugs in the neighbourhood make the situation worse.
