Serving and ex-serving members of the British military with Cameroon heritage – Cameroon British Soldiers Association (CAMBRIS) have commemorated shared cultural heritage and values. The event took place last Saturday July 31 at the Aldershot Garrison in London and was attended by Cameroonians and wellwishers across the United Kingdom.

Made up of families & friends, commanders, colleagues of CAMBRIS members, and well-wishers, their come-together was dubbed the CAMBRIS Cultural Day and portrayed diversity advocating for inclusion awareness.

In addition to showcasing the Cameroon culture and improving cultural awareness, the CAMBRIS Cultural Awareness Day also highlighted historic military links between Cameroon and the United Kingdom.

It also sought to enhance the benefits of diversity, inclusion, and community integration in the military and wider society.

Activities that marked the day included stands displaying Cameroon history, customs & traditions, attractions, arts and crafts, CAMBRIS projects, traditional dances, Cameroon food, Kids bouncy castle, ball pit, and other outdoor activities.
