Cameroon Cricket Federation scouts talents at 2022 league & cup tournament

The President of the Cameroon Cricket Federation (FECACRICKET), Victor Agbor Nso has urged athletes at the 2022 league and cup of Cameroon to put in their most.

Only the most promising, he noted, will be integrated into the national squad.

He made the declaration on June 25, 2022 at the launch of the joint domestic league and Cup of Cameroon tournament for 2022.

“Here we have Cameroon cricket at its finest. We have the twelve senior best men’s teams in the country. We have the ten senior best female teams in the country,” he explained.

To him, the joint domestic league, cup of Cameroon tournament 2022 is another opportunity to spot amazing talents for the national squad, given that they will be required to raise high the flag of Cameroon on the international scene.

“We have the hope that by the time this competition ends we will have maybe five additional talents detected to join the senior team. It will further make our national teams; the indomitable lions and indomitable lionesses great,” Victor Agbor Nso went on.

The joint cricket league and cup of Cameroon count as part of the FECACRICKET 2022 development plan of action. In the male category, clubs will compete in three pools and two in the female category.

The league games for both categories will culminate in the Cup of Cameroon finals on July 10, 2022.
