Cameroon Defender, Nicolas Nkoulou Signs for Watford

Astute Cameroonian football center back, Nicolas Nkoulou has signed a two-year contract with English Premier League club, Watford FC.

Having played most of his football in the past seasons with the Italian club, Torino, the 31-year-old will now be playing in the extremely physical Premier League for the coming two years.

The 2017 AFCON winner has joined the club on a free transfer from Torino and has become the first major signing of Watford FC’s new coach, Claudio Ranieri.

Nkoulou will be putting on the number 13 jersey and will have the daunting task of helping the hornets (Watford FC’s Nickname) to avoid relegation after just securing promotion to the English top-flight last season.

The Indomitable Lion defender’s last major tournament with the national team was at the 2017 African Cup of Nations Final in Gabon. In the game, he scored the famous equalizer that completed the amazing comeback against the Pharos of Egypt to Cameroon its fifth AFCON title.
