End of academic year examinations in Cameroon will take place between July and August 2020.

The Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute mentioned that in the course of a video conference Thursday May 14th 2020 in Yaounde.

As for school resumption for 2020/2021 academic year, government has decided that primary and secondary schools will start on the 5th of October while Universities will kick off on the 15th of October 2020.

In the video conference, members of government equally evaluated progress made so far in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Schools all over the nation have been closed for two months now as part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The delay to reopen schools was however criticised by many after government lifted its prohibition on bars, restaurants and night clubs.

Following statistics given by the ministry of public health yesterday Wednesday May 13th, 139 have died of the virus,1.555 treated while 2.954 have been infected in Cameroon between March 6th when the first case was diagnosed and May 13th.
