The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are set to clash with their counterparts from Senegal this afternoon.
The friendly match scheduled to take place at 6pm at the Reunification Stadium in Douala.
The encounter which is a friendly is in build up for the upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, AWCON 2022.
It is reported that the Lionesses have so far undergone three training sessions since their arrival in Douala.
The Teranga Lionesses of Senegal on their part, have reportedly had at least one training session since they arrived yesterday morning.
Both teams will be facing each other in another match scheduled for June 18, still in Douala.
The match will be followed by a trip to France, where the Indomitable Lionesses will clash with the French women’s national team.
The 14th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted by Morroco as from July 2 to July 23, 2022.
According to Nchout Ajara, Indomitable Lioness’ forward, ” We have participated in so many AWCONs and I think this year is going to be ours. We are going to Morocco to win the trophy”.
