Cameroon Professional Football League Distances itself from Fecafoot’s Dissolution Resolution

The Cameroon Professional Football League has distanced itself from a resolution by the Cameroon Football Federation. It indicates that the latter would be dissolved.

Last weekend, an Executive Committee session was held by the Cameroon Football Federation in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon.

Amongst the resolutions of the meeting was the dissolution of the Cameroon Professional Football League ( LFPC).

Reacting to this resolution, the League, in a release published on August 30, 2022, indicated that it is in no way under the Cameroon Football Federation.

“Jealous of its autonomy, the LFPC, a legal body under Cameroonian private law whose legal functioning is governed by the following laws and statutes: Law No. 99/011 of July 20, 1999, on freedom of association, Law No. 2018/014 of July 11, 2018 on the Organization and Promotion of Physical and Sports Activities in Cameroon, and its Statutes of November 3, 2014, ” the league indicated in their release.

The Cameroon Football Federation is however yet to react to the latest move by the Cameroon Professional Football League.
