Cameroonian female defender Claudia Dabda has signed with Al Hilal, a top-division club in Saudi Arabia. The 22-year-old, who played for Toulouse FC last season, joins Al Hilal in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on a three-year contract.

Dabda’s move to Al Hilal is a significant step in her career. Al Hilal is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, and they have won the AFC Champions League twice. Dabda will be hoping to help Al Hilal win more trophies in the coming years.

“I am very happy to join Al Hilal,” said Dabda. “It is a great club with a lot of history. I am looking forward to playing in the Saudi Professional League and helping the team win trophies.”

Dabda is the latest Cameroonian player to sign with a club in Saudi Arabia. Karl Toko Ekambi signed for the Saudis recently.

“Not just men, women are beginning mass exodus to Saudi,” Commented Bambe Wanneh Giovanni on Twitter

Dabda was born in Douala, Cameroon. She started her career with the Cameroonian female team. In 2019, she moved to France to play for Toulouse FC. She made 25 appearances for Toulouse last season, scoring one goal.

Dabda is a member of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon. She has represented Cameroon at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2020 Olympic Games.

Dabda’s move to Al Hilal is a positive development for Cameroonian female football. It shows that Cameroonian female players are in demand at the highest level. It also gives Dabda the opportunity to play in a competitive league and to develop her skills further.
