The rallies of the Presidential candidate of UNIVERS party Cabral Libii in Edea and Douala have been at the centre of discussion this Sunday.
In Douala, thousands of youths stormed the Stade Cicam arena to listen to the campaign message of Cabral Libii. As he addressed the mammoth crowd, Cabral Libii took the engagement to provide jobs to millions of unemployed youths.
His Douala rally came after a similar crowd-pulling meeting in Edea.
Cabral Libii will be in the West region Monday.
Joshua Osih in the West Region
Joshua Osih undertook a marathon tour in the West Region where he held trailblazing rallies in Bafang, Bafoussam this Sunday.
The crowd was not as huge in the West region as in Wouri and Moungo Divisions in the Littoral Region of Cameroon. The SDF Chair, Ni John Fru Ndi, was in the West region with the party’s flagbearer.
The SDF rally in Bangante was postponed to a later day.
Matomba also in the West Region, Ndifor Afanwi in Littoral
Serge Espoir Matomba was due to explain his manifesto to the population of Mbouda, Bafoussam after his tour in the Moungo Division Saturday.
Meanwhile Prophet Frankline Ndifor Afanwi of the CNCM visited several localities in the Moungo Division and is expected to hold his first campaign rally in Douala Monday at Stade Cicam.
Kamto in Manjo
After Douala Saturday, Professor Maurice Kamto of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party was in Manjo where he, his campaign manager and former adviser of Mr. Biya addressed hundreds of electorates.
Their promises focused on job creation, provision of better health care services, electricity…
Akere Muna in Yaoundé
Barrister Akere Muna will be meeting with the press on Monday at the headquarters of the PFD situated in Elig-Edzoa. This follows the grand launching of his campaign Saturday which was attended by thousands of youths.
Government Ministers Campaign for Biya
Since the start of campaigns, incumbent Paul Biya has not been to the field, but CPDM rallies are coordinated by government ministers and other party bigwigs.
In Buea today, the head of the CPDM campaign team in the South West, Peter Mafany Musonge, launched the party’s campaign in the region. The “indoor” meeting was attended by party members and sympathisers.
Paul Biya is however present on social media and the streets, inundated with his posters bearing the message: “The power of experience”.
Ndam Njoya and Garga Haman
The CDU party candidate, Adamou Ndam Njoya is brazing to launch campaign activities Wednesday while Garga Haman Adji is yet to hit the stage.
