Residents of Nkoteng, a locality in the Upper Sanaga Division of the Centre Region of Cameroon are yet to come to terms with the recent violation, murder and mutilation of an 8-year-old girl.
Reports say the girl was abducted “… by unknown individuals on her way from the stream and raped, killed and her heart removed through an opening made via her left ribs”.
Following investigations by security officers after the act, one suspect is said to have been arrested, alongside the father of the kid.
Both men are detained at the Nkoteng Gendamerie Brigade as investigations continue to ascertain the circumstances under which the crime was committed and more importantly, its perpetrator(s).
