Controversy continues to cloud preacher, Johnson Suleman ahead of visit to Cameroon

Renowned Nigerian preacher, Johnson Suleman is expected in Cameroon, September. But like his recent outings, the visit to Cameroon is already mired in controversy, resulting from his wrangling with online whistleblower, Gistlover.

The scandal has shaken the very core of the preacher’s establishment and gospel empire.

The anonymous whistleblower weeks back, revealed that the preacher had had multiple extramarital affairs and had infected the ladies concerned with some sort of incurable disease.

Among those listed were multiple celebrities including actress, Halima Aboubakar, Mercy Johnson, Eve Esin and Chinyere Winifred.

Johnson Suleman too has been vocal, promising to reveal Gistlover’s identity and make his blog disappear.

“I heard that they are dragging me on social media… we will drag ourselves.”
Some of those listed as ladies with whom he had had affairs, he said, had visited his church and are his “children.”

“The list isn’t long enough. Make it 200 …” he challenged Gistlover, urging the whistleblower to show his/her face as well as reveal their address as a sign of courage.
“I am the one that will disappear that blog… if you want to fight me make sure you have oxygen,” he added.

But Suleman’s fight is not limited to Nigeria alone. Cameroon’s Enaka Eyok too has been vocal about the latest scandal, presenting herself as a victim.
“I went to Suleman’s crusade hall because I needed prayers for my documents and supposed health issue,” she stated, adding that the preacher “said he will pray for my health and documents provided we indulge in a sexual affair.”

In her multiple social media posts, she stated that she and Johnson Suleman had the affair back in France and she has not been herself again. She also alleges being attacked at night, signs she believes are spiritual manifestations.

One too many

The latest accusations against Johnson Suleman are few of the many that have erupted over the years. Most of the accusations continue to revolve around sexual malpractices.

In some instances, screenshots of him having intimate video calls with ladies have been made public, but his followers maintain they images are photoshopped by detractors.

Johnson Suleman continues to run his Omega fire ministries with headquarters in Nigeria’s Edo State. The televangelist started the ministry in 2004 and has since garnered hundreds of thousands of followers on and offline.
