Controversy trails suspicious death of municipal officer in Yaounde

The suspicious death of a 34-year-old municipal officer by name Prosper Ambassa has raised alot of controversies amongst freinds and family members.

Prosper Ambassa was reportedly found dead in a taxi on May 30, 2022.

The mother to the deceased however claims her son was murdered and abandoned.

A claim refuted by the deceased colleagues who have attributed the death to a traffic accident.

The first deputy mayor of the Yaoundé II council in his version, revealed that the agent arrived at work in a drunken state.

He said the agent was then asked to return home, which he snubbed.

On the contrary, he went to find his colleagues in the field, he narrated .

It was while trying to stop a motorcycle whose driver was in violation that he was hit by a car, the official recounted.

According to his colleagues, although he had blood flowing from his ears, they were asked to take him back to work and once there, he decided to go to rest in a car in the yard.

Prosper Ambassa was forgotten by his colleagues, they argue.

He was discovered dead a few hours later by a guard on duty.

His mother however has a contrary view.

She has asked that an investigation into the real cause of her son’s death be opened and that the culprits be punished.

The deceased was the father of two.
