The governor of the Littoral region says some Cameroonians from coronavirus infected countries resisted lodging in some hotels assigned to them by the Cameroon government.

Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboa says some of these Cameroonians were not ready to lodge at Hotel Beausejour upon their arrival in Douala Tuesday March 17 reason why they spent some hours out. In a video circulating on the social media, some of those who came in denounced their abandonment by the government.

In a press briefing Wednesday March 18th, the governor called on family members of all those quarantined in hotels in the city of Douala not to visit indicating that the government is taking care of them.

Government has equally refuted claims that persons that arrived Douala International airport are already infected by the coronavirus.

The governor of the Littoral region says people quarantined in Douala will be monitored even after the 14 days quarantine period to safe the life of citizens.
