Cameroon’s minister of labour and social security enters his 5th day of self isolation today Friday March 27th 2020.Going by a release signed March 27th by the Secretary General at the ministry of labour and social security, Gregoire Owona has neither been tested positive of coronavirus nor is receiving medical attention.

Razack Johnny says the otherwise deputy secretary general of the ruling Cameroon People Democratic Movement (CPDM) has decided to quarantine himself for 14 days after rumours went viral on the social media concerning his health.

The release adds that Minister Gregoire Owona is working from his area of isolation to ensure that activities of the ministry are moving on well.

Cameroonians on social media had become suspicious of the health of the minister of labour and social security when he took a picture with Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, speaker of the national assembly shortly after the speaker returned from France, a coronavirus infected country.

Cameroonians are questioning why the minister will go on self isolation without bordering to take the coronavirus test.
