Coton sport emerges champion of MTN Elite One season: Dedicate victory to Foe Marc-Vivien

Coton sport Garoua has emerged champions of the MTN Elite One tournament, following last night’s victory over Eding sports during the finals.

The game was played yesterday, July 4 in Garoua in the North Region of Cameroon.

Both teams ended the match with a 1-1 score, after coton equalized at the 91st minute, thanks to a goal by Kaiba.

It was however in the course of the penalty shoot-out that Coton sport Garoua was able to secure its victory as champions of the MTN Elite One.

Coton Sport of Garoua thus wins its 17th Cameroon champion trophy. As promised by the top management of Cameroon Federation of Football (FECAFOOT) some time after taking office, the winners will bag the sum of 50 million CFA francs.

It should be noted that at the end of yesterday’s match, Coton sport captain, Souaibou Oumarou dedicated their victory to the late Indomitable striker, Marc-Vivien Foe.
