Headmaster attacks neighbour’s wife with machete: Police make no arrests



Ebode Emmanuel, head teacher at the Nkolakie government primary school Yaoundé attacked his neighbour’s wife, Pauline Koumda, with a machete in the capital city of Cameroon.

It all began with a misunderstanding between Ebode’s wife and Pauline. The misunderstanding soon degenerated into an altercation between the two women, attracting the attention of members of the public.



Ebode Emmanuel, nicknamed “Vegeta” by his neighbourhood, due to his well known impulsive character, upon being informed of the incident, rushed to the scene.

Armed with a machete, Ebode began attacking Pauline without hesitation.


In an attempt to hold her husband back, Ebode’s wife received slaps from him which compelled her to stay back.

The police, after being notified of the ensuing problem, arrived the scene, but later left with an empty vehicle. Ebode was not arrested.


Pauline Koumda, who sustained injuries from the attack has insisted that justice has to be done, stating that the headmaster cannot go free after perpetrating assaulting her with a deadly weapon.
