An elderly woman has been confirmed dead in Penka Michèle, West Region, Cameroon, after being butchered by thugs. The 68-year-old was attacked by five boys who came pretending to buy cigarettes from her.

The sum of 600 million FCFA is alleged to have been stolen from the residence of Cameroon’s Ambassador to Gabon, Ngaeto Zam Edith. Many have questioned where she got the money from and why she kept such a stash of cash in her home.

Ambazonian fighters have set a 20 Million FCFA ransom for the release of the Vicar General for the Mamfe Diocese, South West Region, Mgr. Julius Agbortoko. He was kidnapped from Bishop Emeritus Lysinge’s house barely an hour after he returned from a pastoral visit.

At least 17 persons specialised in the falsification of documents have been arrested in Yaoundé. The arrests were made from August 20-24 by the Nlongkack Gendarmerie Brigade after several reported cases of forgery.
