At least 10 people have been admitted to the hospital after being hit by an IED at the Buea Trade Fair earlier this morning. Separatists have claimed responsibility for the explosion, saying it was a warning against defaulters of the Monday Ghost Towns.


The Center for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, CHRDA has denounced the bomb explosion. Like the OIC Market explosion days ago, the trade fair attack by separatists, according to CHRDA, was “unnecessary” and “unacceptable”.


The Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou today launched activities marking the 12th anniversary of the Cameroon National Youth Council. The event was held at the Yaoundé Conference Center and sought to shed light on youth-oriented actions in national development.

At least 4 persons have been seriously injured in Yaoundé after they were knocked by a speeding military truck. At least three vehicles were also damaged by the truck. The victims were rushed to the hospital.

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute was today in the West Region to inaugurate the Bafoussam Regional Hospital. The project cost at least 13 Billion FCFA and is expected to serve the population of the West Region and bring affordable healthcare closer to them.

The official AFCON mascot has toured the city of Douala today. Mola, the mascot, was received in Douala by the Governor of the Littoral Region, Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, after which it proceeded to tour the city, while communing with football lovers.
