A 22-year-old girl has died in the Mvog-Betsi neighborhood, Yaounde after she was allegedly poisoned by her friend, who stole her phone afterward. The deceased, Therese Ngo Ebog invited her friend over for a meal. The fried is believed to have used the opportunity to poison her.


The Minister of Secondary Education has denied authorising the Senior Divisional Officer for Ngoketundjia Division to suspend teachers’ salaries. Minister Nalova Lyonga says she has ordered an investigation into the matter. The salaries were suspended after teachers failed to show up to schools due to insecurity.


A 20-year-old Cameroonian has launched the first Bilingual Tour Guide App in Cameroon. The app is known as #TourCMR and it was launched in a ceremony in Yaoundé by the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Bello Bouba Maigari.


A US-based Cameroonian couple is celebrating the birth of triplets after 10 years of searching. Their baby drought ended thanks to In-Vitro Fertilisation and surrogacy. They have urged others desperate for kids to do same.


The results of an investigation into the Olembe stadium stampede are expected tomorrow, Friday. The Confederation of African Football, CAF had cited Friday as the latest date for the investigation results to be made available. The Olembe stadium in its part remains suspended till further notice and planned games have been shifted to other football stadiums.


Some victims of the Olembe stadium stampede in Yaounde have applauded human rights lawyers for asking CAF to take the blame. The human rights lawyers are claiming indemnities of up to one million US Dollars for victims. CAF is yet to make an official response.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have arrived Douala ahead of their Quarter Finals game. The Lions will face the Gambia at the Japoma Stadium on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
