A 22-year-old girl has died in the Mvog-Betsi neighborhood, Yaounde after she was allegedly poisoned by her friend, who stole her phone afterward. The deceased, Therese Ngo Ebog invited her friend over for a meal. The fried is believed to have used the opportunity to poison her.
The Minister of Secondary Education has denied authorising the Senior Divisional Officer for Ngoketundjia Division to suspend teachers’ salaries. Minister Nalova Lyonga says she has ordered an investigation into the matter. The salaries were suspended after teachers failed to show up to schools due to insecurity.

The results of an investigation into the Olembe stadium stampede are expected tomorrow, Friday. The Confederation of African Football, CAF had cited Friday as the latest date for the investigation results to be made available.
