Higher Education Minister Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo has called for security to be beefed up at the University of Buea. He made the call following yesterday’s explosion that left 11 students injured.


Members of Parliament are meeting in Yaounde for their last session of the year. The November session which kicked off today focuses primarily on the budget for the year 2022.


Hon Cavaye Djibril, speaker of the National Assembly has told traditional rulers of the North West and South West Regions to return to their palaces. These rulers, he said, have the role of accompanying government in its quest for a return to normalcy in the conflict-hit Regions.

A group of Cameroonians arrested in Malabo and Bata in Equatorial Guinea have been deported to Cameroon. They arrived home today following a week of violent crackdowns on foreigners in the Central African country.

Two students of the Government High School Babadjou were arrested today by the Gendarmerie. The students are said to have been caught red-handed by the school authorities consuming illicit drugs within the school campus.

A truck belonging to sanitation company, Hysacam was burnt today in Mussaka, outskirts of Buea, South West Region. Many people have blamed the Separatists for the arson.

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions have settled in Johannesburg and are in full training ahead of the World Cup Qualifying encounter against the Flames of Malawi. The Indomitable Lions will need to win the game if they want to keep any hopes of moving on to the next rounds of qualifiers.
