A suspected kidnapper has been arrested by elements of the Melen Gendarmerie in Yaoundé. The suspect is said to be at the heart of several kidnappings for ransoms in the Yaoundé neighbourhood.

Reports say the Syndicate of University Teachers have revealed they could suspend pedagogic activities in state Universities. This speculations come at a time when schools in Anglophone Regions are facing numerous security threats.
