A Gendarme officer has been lynched by an angry population in Buea after he shot and killed a 3 year old Primary School pupil, Caroline Ndialle. Reports say the shots fired at the car in which the girl was in was because the driver had denied paying 500frs at a checkpoint. Caroline was buried today.
South West Region Governor, Benard Okalia Bilai has expressed frustration at the killing of the 3 year old girl by the military. He says the culprits will be punished for their act no matter their grade.
The Head of the Communications Division for the Ministry of Defence, Colonel Cyrille Serge Atomfack has blamed the driver of the car for the death of the 3 year old today in Buea. According to him, the incident happened because she attempted running away from the Gendarme checkpoint.

A commercial bike rider has been detained by security forces in Maroua, North Region of Cameroon. He is accused of aiding a soldier to desert the war against Boko Haram. The rider had been declared missing and was found detained at the facility days later.
