Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute today visited Buea, South West region. The PM visited the region to evaluate the implementation of resolutions of the Major National Dialogue.
Hundreds from across the South West region braved the separatists-imposed lockdown to welcome PM Dion Ngute. The population however was made of mostly government officials and traditional rulers from Buea and its environs.
Separatist fighters are reported to have killed the head teacher Government School Ndop in the North West region. The move is believed to be as a result of his efforts to ensure school resumption. The region has experienced a blood bath over the past days with multiple soldiers killed.
France-based traditional ruler and politician, Milla Assoute, has urged president Paul Biya to declare a 3-day period of mourning for fallen soldiers. His appeal comes shortly after at least 15 soldiers were killed in the conflict-hit North West region by separatist fighters.
