The Executive Director of the Network of Human Rights Defenders in Central Africa (REDHAC ), Maximilienne Ngo Mbe, has in a press conference in Douala today February 18th 2020, urged President Paul Biya of the Republic of Cameroon to declare a ceasefire in the country’s Anglophone regions. The group also called for the release of all detained Ambazonian leaders and 1,500 Anglophones detained in connection with the Anglophone Crisis.
Ngo Mbe has condemned the killing of 36 civilians including women and children in Ngarbuh in Donga-Mantung Division North West region on Valentine’s Day.
The crisis has prolonged for over three years with over 3500 lives posts and over one million displaced.
