A fake colonel whose name we got as Essimi Louis Lazare, is currently on the run after successfully collecting a 12 Million CFA bribe from a family in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon.

Lazare is said to have presented himself as ‘Colonel’ from the Presidency of the Republic.

He collected the said amount of money claiming to help a member of the family gain entrance into the Combined Arms School or Joint Military School, known as “École Militaire Interarmées” EMIA.

Founded in 1942, EMIA is a military school of the French Army intended to train officers who have risen from the ranks.

After successfully changing his name from Essimi Louis Lazare, to Colonel Essimi Louis Bikeliand, the fake officer equally forged some documents, to enable him carry out his operation with ease.

Reports indicate that the 12 Million CFA was to facilitate the success of two children from the said family during the entrance examination.

Reports, however, have it that the colonel in question has left the country for a better life in Paris.
