As authorities continue to seek ways to contain ‘les Microbes’ in Douala, dozens of motorcycles whose owners violated the 8:00 PM deadline today have been impounded.
Security forces have been on the streets of Douala, particularly in some hardest hit neighborhoods like Akwa, Deido, New Bell to ensure defaulters do not go scot-free.
In an emergency meeting on Wednesday, the Littoral Govenor, Samuel Ivaha Diboua said bikes must halt circulation from 8:00PM to 6:00AM.
The restrictions will prevail till further notice.
