A man by name Jeannot Mepoutha, from Mendounge, Boumba-et-Ngoko division in the East Region, is reported to have put an end to his wife’s life after suspecting the latter of cheating.
According to reports, the 30-year-old victim by name Rose Batsouck, mother of five, died from machete cuts she got two days earlier from her husband.
According to the deceased’s brother, she had returned home drunk and unconscious leaving her husband suspicious, jealous and enraged.
His act of torture is said to have gone beyond use of a machete.
“Her spouse pushed a rod into her genitals, which he had previously put on the fire. Not having received prompt treatment, she eventually died,” disclosed ActuCameroon.
The body of the young woman was ferried to the mortuary, while her husband has been arrested and kept in custody by the forces of law and order.
