The Sabongida bridge in Misaje, Donga Mantung division of the North West region has collapsed.
The bridge which connects Cameroon with the Federal Republic of Nigeria collapsed Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Locals say the unfortunate situation is dealing a huge blow to economic activities in the area.
“This is the bridge that links Dumbu with Sabongida, right to Nigeria. It collapsed this morning. It is in Misaje subdivision in Donga Mantung division,” a road user and inhabitant told MMI.

Our source went on that, “activities are grounded and the economy here is down.”
“We are pleading with our elites and Misaje Council to do something,” he said.
The bridge, MMI gathered was constructed in 2012 and inaugurated by Northwest governor Adolf Lele L’Afrique.
