At least five persons are reported dead and many others wounded following a landslide that occurred Thursday August 11,2022 in Widikum, North West Region of Cameroon.
Reports say the incident happened after a heavy down pour that hit that part of the region.
The landslide that blocked the roads also left users of that stretch stranded.
Widikum is that largest palm oil production area in the North West Region with Nigeria it’s biggest market.
At press time, it was not clear if the road had been made passable or not.
