Eto’o Fils apologizes for clash with YouTuber, asks Algerian football fans to look ahead

Samuel Eto’o Fils, President of the Cameroon Football Federation has finally reacted to his recent physical clash with an Algerian Youtuber in Qatar.

Early this morning, a video circulating on social media showed the FECAFOOT president losing his temper vis-a-vis the Algerian supporter.

In a note signed by Eto’o Fils, he apologized to the public as he wrote: ” I would like to apologize for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality.”

Most Algerians, since their defeat by Cameroon on March 29, 2022, have continually trolled Cameroonians, accusing them of being cheats, a claim which according to Eto’o is “without any evidence”.

The former Indomitable Lion however went ahead to pledge to abstain from the “… Relentless provocation and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters. “

In this line, he has urged the Algerian authorities and Federation to endeavor to terminate the “unhealthy climate before a more serious tragedy occurs.”
