There have been clashes between the military and separatist fighters, as well as the firing of gunshots around the residence of SDF party Chairman, John Fru Ndi, in Bamenda, our sources on ground say.
A blast was equally heard reportedly from the same residence with the clashes persisting.
“A bomb was heard inside the compound of Ni John Fru Ndi… two days ago Amba boys came and threw a bomb inside the house. The military came to disarm the bomb and clashes started,” recounts a resident.
Our source has also stated that the military is using Fru Ndi’s residence as a temporary base to counter the separatists in the neighbourhood.
“We the neighbors of the chairman are afraid because the amba boys pass in their numbers with bike and the more the military is still around, fear is the word for us,” another resident in Bamenda has testified.
