Fako East constituency in the South West region of Cameroon has been marked by many social ills most especially unemployment.

This is as a result of the partial shutting down of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) following frequent attacks launched by ambazonia boys on workers of the plantation.

On who is responsible for the suffering of the people, Hon Ngeka Etoke points accusing fingers on elites of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement, CPDM in the division. “CPDM elites in Fako division are a gang of lies tellers. The people of my constituency lost their jobs because the elites refused to tell the government the truth when the crisis started for appropriate solutions to be taken. They were interested in protecting their wealth and not the general good of the people.”

Few days to the end of campaign, the parliamentary aspirant in Fako East says he has toured all towns, villages and quarters in his constituency including Muyuka sub division where no other politician has dared because of insecurity.

Questioned by Mimi Mefo Info why he took the risk, the jurist says “During my first mandate as a member of parliament under the CPDM party, I remained with my people sharing their pains on daily bases. This is why they welcome me everywhere I go no matter the circumstance”.

Hon.Fritz Ngeka Etoke opines that his development projects will base on empowering young people and women in his constituency. He acknowledges that the eight million annual grant given to an MP at the national assembly cannot really sponsor significant projects.

To him, “I will source for finance in and out of the country. As an MP, we have some advantages and openings to lobby for funding from other bodies interested in the development of the community. I will go this extra mile to assist my people that have so long suffer in the hands of CPDM elites in Fako division”.

Explaining why he resigned from the CPDM on November 22nd 2019, the international consultant thinks “…there is an un reconciliatory hatred within the CPDM party in Fako division. This explains why they have not been able to go down the field to campaign. The people know that they are there for their egoistic reasons and not for the wellbeing of the population.”

For abandoning the people of Fako East since 2013 only to resurface in 2020 asking for votes, Hon Fritz Ngeka Etoke attest that electorates in Fako East have decided to vote for him under of the Social Democratic Front (SDF). “Everywhere I go, I move around with a booklet that contains all the projects I executed with the eight million micro projects funds given at the national assembly. It is on this base that the people will vote for me for a second mandate on the 9th of February” He adds.
