Molinge Edward Ngaje has been selected as Chief of Upper Muea village, Buea subdivision, Fako division in the South West region of Cameroon.
The leader now known as Chief Molinge Edward Ngaje replaces his late father Chief Molinge David who joined his ancestors on the 19th February 2018 in Muea.
King makers in Upper Muea village meeting Wednesday, May 26, 2021, agreed on the candidature of Chief Edward Ngaje Molinge as pilot of the socio-political, cultural and traditional destiny of the people of Upper Muea.
The new Chief, locals in Upper Muea say, will have to use his intelligence to collaborate with the government to restore peace and security in the community – Peace that has been a rare “commodity” in Muea since the beginning of the anglophone crisis.
The issue of land grabbing and double and sometimes triple sale of a single peace of land to many people remains one of the hard issues Chief David Junior Molinge will combine his legal knowledge and culture of the people to achieve peace.
Chief Molinge is a lawyer and member of the Cameroon Bar Association and a graduate from the department of law in the University of Buea. The population of Muea has described him as a man who listens to the people and addresses their problems accordingly.
