The Head of the Customs Unit in Limbe notes that it is however not the first time in recent times that such an arrest has had to be made in the seaside city of Limbe.

The General Directorate of Customs has revealed that less than 100 Million FCFA is collected monthly on customs, compared to the 2 Billion FCFA collected in the 2000’s. The decline contradicts an increase in quality and quantity of mobile phones imported into the country.
