A Hippopotamus is reported to have killed at least seven persons after attacking a boat in Kousseri, Far North Region of Cameroon.
Reports indicate that the victims were crossing the Logone river when they were attacked by the huge creature.
A total of seven bodies were retrieved from the river following the tragic incident.
The families of the victims have remained inconsolable following the tragic demise of their loved ones.
Hippopotamus attacks are becoming more and more recurrent in some rivers in the Far North Region of Cameroon.
