Far North Region: Cameroon Defense Forces Repel Boko Haram Terrorists

Information communicated by the Ministry of Defense reveals that the Cameroon Defense Forces were successful in repelling an attack which was launched by Boko Haram terrorists in the Nigerian locality of Wuglo, near Fotokol in the Far North Region on April 26, 2021.

In a Press Release which was signed by the Head of the Communication Unit for the Defense Ministry, Captain Cyrille Serge Atonfack, it is revealed that the heavily armed terrorists attacked on Monday aboard several vehicles.

However, it also adds that Cameroonian Defense Forces, who make up part of the Joint Multinational Taskforce were on ground to succesfuly counter their operation.

Several weapons were also seized from the terrorists, most of whom fled after they were overpowered.

Fortunately on the part of the defense forces, no deaths were recorded.
