Lamido Amadou Ousmane, head of the Bogo dynasty in the Diamaré Division of the Far North Region passed away on July 5, 2022.
The Lamido who passed away on Tuesday 5th July 2022, was the 13th Lamido of the BOGO dynasty. He ascended the throne on August 22, 1997.
He doubled as mayor of the Bogo council. Beyond his role as Lamido and mayor, he was also considered one of the great Imams of Diamaré.
The inhabitants of Bogo keep the image of him as a father who each time defended the young people of his locality with projects for the development of their locality.
He was also known for his many advice to young traders, and especially young students who have long had his support.
“We are now orphans without father and mother. He was everything to us, young people. He defended us in our various projects.” a youth recounted.
He added,” Who will still support the young people of our locality? even those who are at university are supported by our Lamido who has just left us. Good men never last! “
His Majesty Lamido Amadou Ousmane’s last outing before his death dates back only 10 days. He had welcomed the S.D.O. of Diamaré during his socio-economic and cultural tour.
The Bogo chiefdom is one of the largest 1st-degree chiefdoms in the Far North region. Located in the district of BOGO, Diamaré division, it was created in 1747.
