Government has called for respect of measures of the World Health Organization, (WHO) in preventing the Coronavirus including encouraging people to stay home.
This is however not possible for some residents of Bafut in the North West region as many locals are in the hands of soldiers.
“Close to a thousand military men came this time, catching civilians randomly. Our fear is that the Ngarbuh incident may still take place here in bafut today” says a scared local.
“Some came through Metah, Upper and lower Bafut surrounding the village with heavy gun shots and explosives” he adds.
Despite the action government says it will take against those responsible for the Ngarbuh massacre, soldiers in the Anglophone regions seem not to be deterred as they keep carrying out raids in villages.
