FECAFOOT Secretary General, Banlock Didier, resigns!

By Amina Hilda

The Secretary General, SG of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, Banlock Benjamin Didier, has resigned.

Banlock’s resignation is the content of a letter dated Wednesday May 18 bearing his name and signature announcing his resignation as scribe of the football federation.

In the letter, a copy of which MMI stumbled on, Banlock accused FECAFOOT President , Samuel Eto’o Fils of instituting a one-man management style at the helm of the federation since his election on December 11, 2021.

According to him, the Cameroon’s football is not yet on the right path. He further wrote that, the country’s football will only regain its greatness when great men with ideas, act with greatness in an environment that allows elevation and progress.

He reiterated that FECAFOOT is not yet functioning in line with the manifesto Eto’o Fils unveiled when he set out to campaign for its top job. He went further to reveal that the Eto’o Fils’ main will is to reduce the FECAFOOT to a one-man show adding that. ” For my part and very humbly, an administration of progress at FECAFOOT cannot be reduced to the president alone…only your will”.

” Having been unable to work in an environment conducive to work to restore Cameroon Football to its full glory,” Banlock said he has opted to quit.
The resignation comes weeks after Eto’o sacked FECAFOOT’s Marketing Director, Ngo Mbog Binyet over alleged embezzlement.
