Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions’ defender, Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui has suggested the National team would fancy a tie against the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
According to Ngadeu, this is simply based on the Lions’ records against Senegal, as he feels Cameroon against them has a shot no matter their firepower.
“We would like to play Senegal because we are used to winning against them, ” he stated on the Talents d’Afrique show where he was a guest.
The Lion however feels that they would be better off avoiding facing Algeria in the playoffs. He mentioned, “If there is a team to avoid, then it would be Algeria…”
The Algerian National team so far has the best goal ratio in the qualifiers. They have scored a massive 25 goals in just 6 group games, with their best goal scorer, Islam Slimani netting 7 goals of the 25.
The playoffs to determine the 5 Nations to represent Africa at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be played in March 2022.
