The Paramount Ruler of Bui, the Fon of Nso, Alhaj Sehm Mbinglo I, has paid a courtesy visit on his counterpart, Paramount Ruler of Buea, HRH Robert Esuka Endeley.
The visit on Friday, February 14, was a respectful way of telling the ruler of the Bakweri people that he was in his land.
At the Buea Palace, the two Fon strengthen ties, considering that there are so many people of Nso living in Buea.
Talking through an interpreter, the Fon of Nso expressed joy and thanked the Buea Paramount Ruler for the wonderful relationship he has developed with all in the land.
“We pray that there should be a return of peace. Because without peace, nobody will be happy,” said the Fon of Nso.
With the serenity that reigns in Buea, the Fon of Nso further expressed his wish to have that in Nso so that he can also have the Bakweri traditional ruler in his palace.

Appel for Reciprocity
He pleaded with HRH Esuka Endeley to treat every Nso child who comes to the Buea Palace as his own.
The Buea Paramount Ruler said it was wonderful receiving the Fon of Nso in the Buea Palace.
He said they have always heard about Fon Mbinglo and the great works he is doing.
“It is a privilege for people like us to see you in person,” he told the Fon of Nso.
He said when they meet the people from Nso, they speak Bakweri because they have stayed and learnt the dialect.
“Your Majesty, we have heard the great works you do. We are praying that peace should return to the Northwest and Southwest regions. Your Majesty thank you for coming” he added.
It was also a moment of joy as the two traditional rulers exchange pleasantries accompanied by a huge delegation.
The Fon of Nso is Buea for the 40th anniversary of the Nso Women’s Association of Fako Division. It is known as KONGADZEM FAKO. It is taking place this Saturday , February 15 and is being placed under the patronage of the Fon of Nso.
